Gizella Akushika Tetteh-Agbotui was born on November 30, 1970, in the town of Awutu Obrachire, located in the Central Region of Ghana.

In 1997,  Gizella earned her Bachelor of Science in Design, specializing in Architecture. Her passion for architecture led her to continue her studies, obtaining Part 1 and Part 2 in Architecture in 1997 and Part 3 in 1999. Her commitment to further education saw her achieve a Master's in Business Administration with a focus on Marketing in 2007 and become a Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) in 2008. In 2017, she added the International Airport Professional (IAP) certification to her impressive list of qualifications.

Political career

In December 2020, Gizella decided to take her passion for public service to the next level by participating in the 2020 Ghanaian General Election as a parliamentary candidate for the Awutu Senya West Constituency.

In a tightly contested race, Gizella emerged victorious, winning the parliamentary seat for Awutu Senya West Constituency. She garnered 32,708 votes, which represented an impressive 51.58% of the total votes cast. Her opponents, including George Andah of the New Patriotic Party, Edith Mansah Dzonyrah of the Ghana Union Movement, and Samuel Yawson of the Conventions People's Party, secured 29,832, 678, and 193 votes, respectively.
