Fred Nii Amugi is a Ghanaian born veteran actor.
Fred Amugi was born in Kwahu-Abetifi , in the Eastern Region of Ghana. He was raised in Ghana's capital, Accra. Amugi first attended Adabraka Presbyterian School in Accra before continuing his secondary education at St. John's School in Sekondi.
Fred Amugi began his acting career with the well-known Ghanaian theatrical troupe Osofo Dadzie troupe after finishing his National Service. Later, he joined the Ghana Drama Studio, where he developed his acting abilities and rose to fame as a stage performer.
"Sacrifice," which Kwaw Ansah directed, Fred Amugi had his first significant acting role. He became one of Ghana's top actors as a result of the critically acclaimed film.
For his performance in "Kukurantumi: Road to Accra," Fred Amugi earned the Best Actor Award at the Ghana Film Awards. King Ampaw directed the film, which was well-received both by audiences and critics.
