Francis-Xavier Kojo Sosu is a Ghanaian Lawyer and politician. He is a member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC). He is currently a member of the 8th parliament of the 4th Republic of Ghana representing the Madina Constituency. He is also Deputy Ranking Member of the Constitutional, Legal and Parliamentary Affairs Committee of Parliament

Early life and education

Sosu, a native of Denu in the Volta Region but born in Accra New Town, holds multiple degrees including a BA (Honors) in Sociology and an LLB in Law from the University of Ghana, a master's degree in Oil and Gas Law from the same university, as well as MA degrees in Economic Policy Management and MPhil in Conflict, Human Rights, and Peace Studies from different universities. He was called to the Bar in October 2010 after completing the Professional Certificate in law at the Ghana School of Law.

In the 2020 parliamentary elections, Sosu won the Madina Constituency seat after securing 661 votes in the National Democratic Congress primary, defeating his closest opponent who received 480 votes, and later beating the incumbent member of parliament with 62,127 votes to become the elected member of parliament for Madina Constituency.

Sosu is in matrimony with Felicia Adwoa Konadu Sosu, and their family comprises four children: a first daughter called Marita Klenam Pokua Sosu, two sons named Francis-Xavier Kadi Sosu (Jnr) and Ian-Xavier Eli Sosu, and a last daughter named Mia Gayra Ahenkan Sosu.
