Fran Drescher

Fran Drescher was born on September 30, 1957, in Flushing, Queens, New York City. Her parents are Sylvia, a bridal consultant, and Morty Drescher, a naval systems analyst. She is known for her iconic nasal voice and began exploring acting during her high school years. Later, she attended Hillcrest High School in Jamaica, Queens, where she was classmates with comedian Ray Romano.

The sitcom 'The Nanny', created by and starring Fran Drescher, premiered on CBS on November 3, 1993. In the show, Drescher played Fran Fine, a fashion-conscious woman from Queens who becomes the nanny for a wealthy British family. 'The Nanny' became widely popular for its humor and Drescher's comedic timing, running for six successful seasons until 1999. The show cemented Drescher's status as a television star.
