Eugene Arhin is a Ghanaian politician. He is a member of the New Patriotic Party and the current Director of communications at the office of the President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
Eugene Arhin was born in Accra, Ghana. He was raised in Tema, an Accra neighborhood, and went to both primary and high schools there.
Arhin received his senior school education at the Presbyterian Boys' Senior School in Legon. By earning a Bachelor of Science in Materials Engineering at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in 2006, he continued his studies.
During his one year of required national service, he worked as a teaching assistant at the Department of Materials Engineering.He also served as a research analyst at the Danquah Institute, a think tank founded by Dr. J. B. Danquah.
President Nana Akufo-Addo nominated him to the position of Director of Communications at the Flagstaff House in January 2017.For two years prior to his appointment in 2017, he worked as Nana Akufo-Addo's press secretary. Nana Akufo-Addo was reappointed by the President to remain in that position in January 2021, following his reelection and investiture.
