Education 

Ernest Henry Norgbey's educational journey began at the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply, where he earned a diploma. He furthered his education at the International School of Aviation, receiving another diploma. In 2003, Norgbey achieved a significant milestone by graduating with a Master of Science (MSc) in Supply Chain Management from Coventry University in the United Kingdom. His academic pursuits continued in 2011 when he graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from the University of Professional Studies in Accra. Norgbey's commitment to his field was solidified in 2014 when he became a chartered member of the Supply Chain Management in the UK. In 2015, he acquired a Postgraduate Certificate in Public Procurement Law and Policy from the University of Nottingham, UK.

Norgbey began his career as a teacher at Happy Home Basic School, where he dedicated himself to shaping young minds from 2006 to 2009. Later, he transitioned to the role of procurement officer at the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO).

Ernest Henry Norgbey's political career took flight in 2015 when he contested and won the NDC parliamentary primaries for the Ashaiman Constituency in the Greater Accra Region. His dedication and rapport with his constituents became evident as he clinched the parliamentary seat during the 2016 Ghanaian general election, an impressive achievement for a newcomer to politics.

Ernest Henry Norgbey emerged as the winner in the 2020 election with 73,316 votes, representing 61.6% support for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), while Labaran Yakubu Barry of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) secured 45,730 votes, accounting for 38.4%.

NDC parliamentary primaries

Norgbey's commitment to public service continued to shine through when, on Saturday, 13th May 2023, he contested and triumphed once again in the NDC parliamentary primaries for the Ashaiman Constituency. In this election, he secured 1,627 votes, surpassing his competitors Tony Afenyo, who received 1,221 votes, and David Worwui-Brown, with 50 votes.
