Early life and Education

Hayford was born in Mankessim on December 24, 1970. His mother, Madam Mena Aba Attah, had only one child. He graduated from Methodist University College with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. The Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) awarded him a Masters of Business Administration with a focus in supply chain management

Hayford's first job was as a police officer in Ghana, where he worked from 1993 until 1998. He promoted him to Corporal. He left his position and started a private business. Before entering politics, he served as the manager and chief executive officer, respectively, at MANTRAC Ghana Limited and MODISA Lodge.
