Edwin Nii Lante Vanderpuye is a Ghanaian sports journalist and politician. He currently represents the Odododiodio constituency in Parliamen
Edwin Nii Lante Vanderpuye was born on 11 June 1965
He is a graduate of Bechem Presbyterian Boys' Secondary School, Mfantsipim School, and holds a master's degree in Governance & Leadership from Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) and a B.A. in English, Philosophy, and Classics from the University of Ghana.
He worked at the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation from 1990 to 2004, becoming Deputy Head of Sports, and then was Head of Sports at Network Broadcasting Limited from 2005 to 2008.
He served as a special aide and director of operations at the presidency under former President Mills and also as the former Deputy Minister for Trade and Industry under John Mahama.
In 2013, Vanderpuye became Deputy Minister for Trade and Industry, then in 2014 he was appointed Deputy Minister for Local Government and Rural Development, and in 2015 he became Minister of Youth and Sports.
