Edward Abambire Bawa was born and raised in As a result of passing the Common Entrance Examination in 1986, Edward Abambire Bawa was able to earn his O-Level in 1991 and his A-Level in 1993. In the years that followed, Edward Abambire Bawa earned his Bachelor of Education in Chemistry from the University of Cape Coast in Ghana in 2002, his Master of Business Administration in Business Finance from the University of Liverpool in 2007, his Certificate in Development Communications in 2012, and his Certificate in Risk Communications in 2014. Once more, he was in possession of postgraduate certificates from Setym International, the University of Southern California, and the Harvard School of Public Health.

Edward Abambire Bawa ran and won the 2016 NDC parliamentary primaries for the Bongo Constituency.[5][6] During the 2016 Ghanaian general elections, Edward Abambire Bawa won the parliamentary seat in his district (Bongo Constituency) in the Upper East Region of Ghana on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress. He will now serve in the Seventh (7th) Parliament of the Fourth Republic of Ghana. Gabriel Nsoh Ade Agana of the New Patriotic Party received 6,800 votes (17.7%) and Afari George A-Engbinge of the Progressive People's Party

He is a member of the Poverty Reduction Plan Committee. He is also a member of the Fourth Republic of Ghana's Eighth (8th) Parliament's Mines and Energy Committee.

Edward Abambire Bawa is head of communication for the Ghanaian Ministry of Petroleum's World Bank Project (Oil and Gas Capacity Building Project). On behalf of the National Democratic Congress, Edward Abambire Bawa is now serving as the Member of Parliament (MP) for the Bongo Constituency in Ghana's Upper East Region.
