Eddie Shore

Eddie Shore, considered one of the greatest defensemen in ice hockey history, was born on November 25, 1902, in Fort Qu'Appelle, Saskatchewan, Canada. Shore would go on to have a legendary career in the National Hockey League (NHL), where he became known for his tough and aggressive style of play. The incident led to significant changes in NHL rules concerning player safety and the introduction of penalties for hitting from behind.

Eddie Shore was awarded the Hart Memorial Trophy, given to the NHL's Most Valuable Player, a record four times between 1933 and 1938.
