Dr. Kwakye participates on the Bank of Ghana's Monetary Policy Committee (MPC). Dr. Kwakye has held a number of previous positions, including director of research at the Institute for Fiscal Studies (IFS) in Ghana, advisor to the executive director at the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Washington, D.C., assistant director at the Bank of Ghana, and deputy director at the National Development Planning Commission (NDPC) in Ghana
