Early life

Okanlawon, born in Lagos, Nigeria, to an Aircraft Engineer father and a baker and entrepreneur mother, attended Taikenny Nursery and Primary School and International School in Lagos before pursuing Chemical Engineering at the University of Lagos; later, he transitioned to acting and acquired a Certificate in Acting for Film from the New York Film Academy.

Career

Okanlawon's acting journey began at a young age with school plays and television commercials, and after joining drama groups during his time at the University of Lagos, he later transitioned to acting full-time and has since been involved in numerous film, stage, and television projects, gaining recognition for his roles in various productions.

Awards and recognition

In 2013, he received the Best Actor award at the In-Short film festival for his portrayal of a psychotic husband in the thriller "Blink," and he also participated in the Acting for Film course at the New York Film Academy in partnership with Del-York.
