Life before Dance

Dancegod Lloyd, real name Laud Anor Konadu, is a professional dancer born on 25th May 1992 in a town called Ashiaman in the Greater Accra region of Ghana. He had his basic school education at Solidarity International School and later attended Presbyterian Boys Senior High School in Accra. He is born to Mr. Theophilus Konadu, his father and Mrs. Agnes Konadu, his mother.

Life after Secondary School

After Secondary School, Dancegod Lloyd went into football and joined the Ashiaman All Stars team where he played alongside Ghanaian sensational football star Thomas Partey. He was taken out of the team because of his height. At the age of 22 he focused on dancing and left Ashiaman for Accra to stay with friends. He then formed a dance crew with Mr. Drew and Mr. Showtime, where they danced for musicians including Guru's Samba without been paid.

Rising to Fame

Through talking with friends in the dance industry, Dancegod Lloyd met his manager Quables who help grow his social media presence and performance. He rose to fame through Mz Vee's Summa Dis Summa Dat dance challenge which he won which earned him a spot in her music video.

Parting ways with Mr. Drew

Parting ways with Mr. Drew

Dancegod Lloyd parted ways with his group after Mr. Drew shifted his career from dancing to singing. Mr. Drew wanted him as a backup dancer which did not align with his vision. Dancegod Lloyd had to go back to Ashiaman to stay with his parents. He went back to football but was still in touch with some of his friends from dancing.

Dancegod Lloyd, is also a renowned dance coach and choreographer and is widely recognized for his remarkable skills demonstrated in numerous musical videos. Among the notable credits to his name is his appearance in Beyonce's Black Is King film, in addition to his endorsement by celebrities, including Stonebwoy (Ghana), Patoranking (Nigeria), and Eugy Official (UK). His outstanding capabilities have earned him recognition from renowned international organizations such as BBC Africa and CNN. Lloyd has graced the stage in numerous prominent events, including the One Africa Music Festival in Dubai and AfroNation. Notably, he co-founded DWP Academy, where he continues to inspire upcoming dance artists.
