2016 elections
Cynthia Morrison's political journey has been marked by her affiliation with the New Patriotic Party (NPP). She currently represents the Agona West Constituency in the Central Region as a Member of Parliament (MP). Her political career began to gain traction during the 2016 Ghanaian general elections when she contested and won the NPP parliamentary seat for Agona West Constituency. In this election, she faced stiff competition from candidates of the National Democratic Congress and the Convention People's Party but emerged victorious with 58.03 percent of total valid votes, securing 32,770 votes out of the 56,878 cast.
2020 elections
In the 2020 Ghanaian general election, Cynthia Morrison once again contested as the parliamentary candidate for the New Patriotic Party. This time, she was elected for a second four-year term, with 30,513 votes out of a total of 59,193 valid votes cast. Her victory demonstrated the continued support and trust of her constituents in her ability to represent their interests.
