Cletus Apul Avoka is a Ghanaian lawyer and politician. He also served as Majority Leader and held ministerial positions in Interior, Lands, and Forestry.
Cletus Apul Avoka hails from Zebilla in the Upper East Region of Ghana. He obtained his L.L.B. from the University of Ghana in 1976 and further earned his Bachelor of Law degree from the Ghana School of Law in 1978.
Following the 2012 elections, Benjamin Kunbuor succeeded him as Majority Leader in the 6th Parliament of the 4th Republic. He previously served as the Minister for Interior in John Atta Mills' National Democratic Congress government until January 2010. In an earlier role, he held the position of Minister for Lands and Forestry in Jerry Rawlings' government. Additionally, he represented the Bawku West constituency in parliament from 1993 to 2005 and later returned to parliament as the second Member of Parliament for the Zebilla constituency in January 2009.
