He is a native of Dorninga, Ghana, and graduated from the University of Ghana with a Bachelor of Arts degree. Dr. Clement Abas Apaak has a PhD in archaeology from Simon Fraser University (SFU), Canada; an MA in archaeology from the University of Bergen, Norway; an IAA certificate from the University of Brussels; and a BA in archaeology and history from the University of Ghana.
He now serves as the Education Committee's deputy ranking member in the Ghanaian Parliament. He participates in the Public Accounts Committee as well.
He is a Member of the Seventh Parliament of the Fourth Republic of Ghana, representing the Builsa South Constituency in the Upper East Region on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress
