Bukom Banku

He was born on August 17, 1980, in Bukom, a small town in Accra, Ghana, which is renowned for producing talented boxers.

In September 1999, Braimah rose to prominence by securing a bronze medal in the Heavyweight category during the 1999 All-Africa Games held in Johannesburg, South Africa.

In 2011, Bukom Banku, achieved a significant milestone in his boxing career by capturing the WBO Africa Light Heavyweight title. The following year, in 2012, he added another feather to his cap by winning the WBO Africa Cruiserweight title.

Despite his success, Kamxpoko eerienced periods of inactivity, which affected his momentum and consistency in the sport. This lack of regular fights and competition hindered his progress and affected his overall performance.

In November 2019, Bukom Banku faced the consequences of breaching his contract with Box Office Promotions for a rematch against Bastie Samir. As a result, the Ghana Boxing Association took the decision to revoke his boxing license. The scheduled rematch was supposed to take place on 20 June 2018, but Banku's actions led to this unfortunate outcome. To rectify the situation, Banku was required to pay GH¢17,000 to the CEO of Box Office Promotions. This amount was intended to cover a portion of his training allowance and the agreed-upon purse for the bout.

In May 2020, Bukom Banku took on the role of host for the 'Bukom Banku Live' show, which was launched on GhOne TV.

As of 2023, Bukom Banku is the father of 12 children
