Early Life and Background

Bukky Wright was born on 31 March 1967 in Abeokuta, the capital city of Ogun State, South-west Nigeria, to a Christian father and a Muslim mother, reflecting the rich cultural diversity of her heritage. Hailing from the Yoruba tribe, she spent most of her childhood in Abeokuta with her parents. Although she keeps her family life private, her upbringing has undoubtedly played a significant role in shaping her identity and career.

She obtained the mandatory West African Examination Council (WAEC) certificate and the Senior School leaving Certificate (SSCE) during her time there. In 1996, at the age of 29, Bukky Wright kick-started her acting career in the television series "Super Story," produced by the renowned Wale Adenuga. Fluent in the Yoruba language, she seamlessly transitioned into English-based Nollywood films, delivering notable performances in movies such as "Red Hot," "When Love Happens," "Omatara Johnson," "Abeni," "OutKast," "Unforgivable," "Ghetto Hood," and many others. Throughout her career, she has acted alongside esteemed actors such as Patience Ozokwor, Olu Jacobs, Kenneth Okonkwo, and Liz Benson, earning widespread acclaim and love from audiences.

Beyond her acting prowess, Bukky Wright has excelled in various entrepreneurial ventures. She is the founder of B Collection, a renowned Spa, and also manages a boutique specializing in female wear in Lagos State.
