Early life
Beverly Ifunaya Bassey, the only child of Nigerian parents, was born in London and later relocated to Nigeria to pursue acting, influenced by the rapid growth of Nollywood and citing Ramsey Nouah and Genevieve Nnaji as her mentors.

Career
At the age of 17, Naya began acting and later returned to Nigeria after studying film-making in London, citing the opportunity to build a brand, work on more diverse scripts, and shoot films more frequently as reasons for her decision.
