Betty Nana Efua Krosbi Mensah was born on 29 August 1980 in Donkorkrom, Eastern Region.
She holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Zenith University College and a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accounting from Koforidua Technical University. Her educational background provided a strong foundation for her future endeavors in both the business and political spheres.
Mensah served as the Managing Director of Best Pat Ghana Limited from 2013 to 2016. Mensah's commitment to public service is evident in her role as the Second Deputy Coordinator for the National Youth Employment from 2009 to 2013. Additionally, she served as the Gender and Development Coordinator of the Ghana Cooperative Credit Union from 2003 to 2005. Currently, Mensah holds the position of Vice President of the Young Parliamentarians Forum, Ghana Chapter.
In the 2016 general elections, Betty ran for the Parliamentary seat of Afram Plains and secured a resounding victory. She garnered 18,121 votes out of 23,606 cast, representing an impressive 78.44% of the total vote count. Her victory over her opponents, including candidates from the New Patriotic Party, the National Democratic Party, and the Convention People's Party, demonstrated the trust and confidence that the people of Afram Plains had in her ability to lead.
Her political career continued to flourish, and in the 2020 general election, she secured her seat once again. This time, she received 18,543 votes, making up 68.30% of the total vote count. Her dedication to her constituency and her commitment to the principles of the National Democratic Congress were evident in her continuous success at the polls.
Betty Nana Efua Krosbi Mensah's contributions extend beyond her electoral victories. Currently, in the 8th Parliament, she serves on both the Gender and Children Committee and the Health Committee.
