Benjamin Yeboah Sekyere is a Ghanaian politician serving as a member of both the Seventh and Eighth Parliaments of Ghana. He also holds the position of Deputy Minister in the newly established Ahafo region.
Born on March 4, 1977, in Derma, Ahafo region. Sekyere holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Ghana, a HND in Accounting from Sunyani Polytechnic, and an MBA in Accounting/Finance from the University of Professional Studies.
In 2018, he generously donated a school bus to Samuel Otu Senior High School, along with 20 laptops to several SHSs and approximately 871 uniforms to schools in Tano South.
Prior to entering politics, he worked as an Accountant in the Ghana Education Service and served as the principal Accountant in the Berekum Municipal Office of the Ghana Education Service. He was re-elected in the 2020 General election to the 8th Parliament of the Fourth Republic of Ghana, securing victory with 22,034 votes, while his opponent Hanna Bissiw had 19,731 votes.
He assumed the role of Deputy Minister for the Ahafo region in 2021.
He serves on the Works and Housing Committee and is the ranking member of the Poverty Reduction Strategy Committee. Additionally, he is a member of the Lands and Forestry Committee as well as the Local Government and Rural Development Committee.
