Benedicta Gafah

Benedicta Gafah was born on September 1, 1986, in Asokore Mampong, to Mr. and Mrs. Kwaku Badu, Gafah.

Growing up in the Ashanti region, Benedicta Gafah spent her formative years in a culturally rich environment. Her last name, Gafah, pays tribute to a great king from the Ewe tribe in the Volta region.

Benedicta Gafah attended the Presbyterian Girls Senior High School in Kumasi for her secondary education before furthering her studies at African University Communication College.

Benedicta Gafah joined the entertainment industry in 2010. She quickly established herself as a rising star, featuring in numerous movies and hosting various shows. Known for her portrayal of the "bad girl" character, Gafah's performances have captivated audiences, showcasing her fluency in both her native language, Twi, and English. Notable films she has appeared in include "Mirror Girl," "Azonto Ghost," and "April Fool."

Benedicta Gafah established the Benedicta Gafah Needy Foundation in 2014, , aimed at supporting the less fortunate and widows. She began by providing assistance to the King Jesus Orphanage Home in Kumasi, offering food, clothing, and other essentials. Gafah expanded her philanthropic efforts by reaching out to street children, particularly during the holiday season, distributing alms, and spreading joy.

In 2015, she received the Actress of the Year award at the Kumawood Movie Awards. She was also nominated for Most Promising Actress at the 2015 City People Entertainment Awards and won the Discovery of the Year award at the 2013 KAM Awards.

As her career continues to flourish, Benedicta Gafah remains an influential figure in the Ghanaian film industry. In 2019, she became a co-host on TV3's music show, showcasing her versatility beyond acting. Additionally, she remains active in her philanthropic endeavors, using her platform to help those in need.
