Augustine was born in Nkenkaasu in 1964 and holds degrees in Reproductive Biology from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, as well as certificates from Harvard Kennedy School.
Ntim served as the District Chief Executive for the Ministry of Local Government from 2005 to 2009 and has been a member of Ghana's parliament since 2009, currently serving on the Government Assurance Committee and the Health Committee.
He won elections in 2009, 2013, 2017, and 2020, with varying vote counts.
He is a member of both the Youth, Sports, and Culture Committee and the Members Holding Offices of Profit Committee.
He practices the Christian faith and is married with a total of six children.
