Club career

Baffoe, born in Bad Godesberg, Bonn, Germany, had a well-traveled football career, playing for clubs across four continents, predominantly in the Bundesliga and 2. Bundesliga, starting at 1. FC Köln and later joining FC Metz in France, becoming one of the first recognized black players in the Bundesliga, and playing for a total of seven clubs, including stints in Hong Kong and Caracas, after his initial German top-flight appearances.

Being the pioneer Ghanaian expatriate player to represent the Ghana national team, Baffoe earned 25 caps for the Black Stars, notably showcasing his skills at the 1992 and 1994 African Cup of Nations.

Baffoe is wedded to Kalsoume Sinare, a Ghanaian actress, and together, they are parents to three children, namely Shaquille, Boukeem, and Keisheira. Additionally, Baffoe is the sibling of the renowned German actress Liz Baffoe, celebrated for her part in the German TV series Lindenstraße.
