Alhaji Alhassan Kobina Ghansah was born on the 29th of November, 1960, in Breman Bedum, a town located in the Central Region of Ghana.
In his pursuit of education, Ghansah obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in finance in 2015.
Ghansah has an extensive career history that includes being the managing proprietor of Classic Rahman Enterprise. His business acumen and experience in the private sector have contributed to his understanding of economic issues, which he has applied in his role as a politician.
Alhaji Alhassan Kobina Ghansah is a proud member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
In the 2016 elections, Ghansah represented the NDC in the Asikuma-Odoben-Brakwa Constituency. Although he ran a spirited campaign, he lost to the New Patriotic Party's candidate, Anthony Effah, by a margin of just 430 votes. Ghansah garnered 23,330 votes, representing 49.20%, while Effah received 23,760 votes, representing 50.11%.
The 2020 parliamentary elections were a turning point in Ghansah's political career. He emerged victorious by polling 28,175 votes, representing 52.54%. His only opponent, Emmanuel Domson Adjei of the New Patriotic Party, received 25,454 votes, representing 47.46%.
Alhaji Alhassan Kobina Ghansah serves as a member of the Special Budget Committee and the Environment, Science, and Technology Committee in the Ghanaian Parliament.
