Haruna, hailing from Wenchi in the Bono region of Ghana, was born on February 4, 1974. He successfully obtained his MBA in Marketing in the year 2015.
Career
Haruna previously held the role of Marketing and Administrative Manager at Lamini Investment Ghana Limited and is also engaged in farming.
Political career
Haruna, a member of the NDC, currently serves as the MP for Wenchi Constituency, winning the seat with 26,068 votes (51.1% of the total vote), defeating the NPP parliamentary candidate George Yaw Gyan-Baffuor who secured 23,102 votes (45.3% of the total votes).

Haruna is a member of the Special Budget Committee.
Philanthropy
He generously provided 36 new wheelchairs to individuals with disabilities in the Wenchi Municipal area.
