In the 2020 election, Akwasi Owusu Afrifa-Mensah of the NPP secured 57,638 votes, accounting for 51.14% of the total, while Sedem Kweku Afenyo of the NDC received 54,519 votes, representing 48.37%. Adofo Felix of the PPP and Adjei Mensah Micheal of the NDP obtained 371 (0.33%) and 186 (0.17%) votes, respectively.
