Adjetey Anang was born on July 7, 1973 in Ghana.
Anang holds a First Class Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the School of Performing Arts at the University of Ghana, Legon. He further pursued a Master of Arts Degree in Dramatic Arts with distinction from the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa (Wits University). Anang's dedication to continuous learning is evident through his participation in various workshops and training programs in Ghana, South Africa, Nigeria, the Netherlands, the UK, and the US.
Anang began his acting journey with the Nyankunton Players, a renowned drama group in Ghana. His exceptional talent led him to be recruited by the National Drama Company, Abibiogromma, which provided him with a platform to showcase his skills on a national level. Anang's breakthrough came with his role as "Pusher" in the TV Drama 1998, aired on Ghana's National TV station (GTV).
Anang has participated in various stage plays across Ghana, South Africa, the Netherlands, and France. Some notable performances include "Through a Film Darkly," "Joe Turner's Come and Gone," "Run for Your Wife," "Death and the King's Horseman," "Marriage of Anansewa," "La Cantatrice Chauve," and "Prison Graduates."
Anang's acting prowess extends beyond television. He has appeared in numerous Ghanaian films, including notable works such as "Deadly Voyage," "A Sting in a Tale," "The Perfect Picture," and more recently, "Sugar," "The Perfect Picture - Ten Years Later," and "Gold Coast Lounge." His talent also caught the attention of international filmmakers, leading to his role in the Dutch movie "Slavery."
Anang's expertise and passion for acting extend beyond his own performances. He is currently a lecturer in Acting at the National Film and Television Institute (NAFTI), where he teaches at the Bachelor's Degree and Diploma levels. Additionally, he plays a pivotal role in conducting Acting Certificate Courses at the same institution.
