Abraham Olano

Abraham Olano Manzano was born on January 22, 1969, in the town of Anoeta in the Basque Country, Spain. He would go on to become a professional road racing cyclist, known for his time-trialing and stage-racing abilities. Olano became one of Spain's most prominent cyclists in the 1990s and early 2000s, eventually winning multiple national and international titles.

In 1995, Abraham Olano achieved one of his most significant early career victories by winning the UCI World Championships in the individual time trial discipline. This victory established him as one of the top cyclists in the world, showcasing his prowess in time trialing and marking him as a favorite in future competitions. His win was part of a strong tradition of Spanish cyclists who have excelled in this discipline.

On October 8, 1995, Abraham Olano won the UCI Road World Championships in Duitama, Colombia.
