Lamptey displayed an early passion for singing, nurtured by his father, and began performing at 12. Discovering his talent for rap and ragga, he recorded songs using a boom-box and microphone, gaining popularity in high school and even winning acclaim as the best performer in an inter-school fiesta. His musical abilities continued to flourish at the University of Professional Studies, where he excelled as a rapper and collaborated with esteemed producers such as Decoder, Odo Nsuo, and Akwaboah.
