Lydia Seyram Alhassan is a Ghanaian politician representing the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency in Parliament.
She has a Bachelor of Administration from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) and an MBA in Marketing from the University of Ghana Business School, Legon.
Lydia Alhassan's political career started with her election as a council member for the Ayawaso West Wuogon Municipal Assembly. She then went on to become the Deputy Director of Finance and Administration at the National Service Scheme.
Until his passing in 2018, she was wed to late politician Emmanuel Boakye Agyarko.
She is a member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and currently serves as the Member of Parliament for the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency in the Greater Accra Region, Ghana. She won a by-election held in January 2019 following the death of her husband, Emmanuel Kyeremateng Agyarko, who had previously held the seat.
